Residential Courses for Schools
Since June 2005, Rand
Farm Park has
offered Residential Courses for Schools to enable children to learn more
about Food, Farming and the Environment.

At Rand Farm Park we
can now provide this opportunity all year round, as we have a new, purpose
built dormitory that sleeps up to 32 children and five staff.

The aim of Rand Farm Park Residential Courses is to give children a better understanding of life on a farm, why people choose farming as a business or lifestyle, and to teach children where the food that evenutally ends up on our plates comes from, and how it gets there.

Linked with the National Curriculum, our courses provide additional hidden benefits such as team building, staying away from home in a safe environment and important social skills.

In addition to time spent at Rand Farm Park there are also visits to other local farms and food producers, who specialise in their own particular type of farming - dairy, cheese making, fruit and arable farming, as well as organic and fish farming.

There are evening activities such as ice-cream demonstrations and tasting (always a favourite with your children), coutryside nature walks, swimming and archery. We offer a full programme with something for everyone to enjoy, including the adults!
We currently provide three packages for you to choose from:
All options include transport to and from Rand Farm Park, accommodation, all meals, visits to other farms and/or environmental sites, activities and worksheets.
